Hey there LJ-ers. It's been quite a long while....

It's so funny reading old entries. It reminds me how much I have changed, how much I have truly grown in the past year alone. I am stronger, smarter and ready to take on the world with a whole new, brighter, happier approach. Life can get GREAT even when you feel you've reached your darkest point.

The best part is, you do not have to take a negative comment or lifestyle from anyone or anything.....ever. Period.

I choose to be happy. I choose to be positive. I choose to live and love everyone and everything.

....and it doesn't matter who likes it or not, because I am happy and free to be me.

I know it's been awhile, but I thought I would stop in and say, "hi" anyway! I hope everyone is doing great. I know things are ABSOLUTELY amazing in my world! My fun priorities have REALLY changed in the past 6 months. Things I thought were ok to do are really not anymore. Now I am enjoying life with a whole new perspective, and it really does suit me.

Things are going absolutely splendid. I finally received my senior year survey, which means I'm steps away from finishing my bachelors degree! I am also do wonderfully with my grades. My GPA is almost back to what it was before I started to decline. I feel really good about school. I cannot wait to finish up!

I've made a decision to chill out on going downtown. For some reason, I end up staying out until daylight and that just simply will not do. It's not me, and I am not down with it. :~D Soooooo, I am just going to take a break until the first of year and enjoy the holidays. I need all the financial help I can get, and spending it by going out has not been a good decision. (I need clothes.)

I am really excited about Shawn & my first annual Chrismukkah party! The house is still getting "ready", but I think we will be fine. We are there to enjoy the company and bring in the holidays!

Time to get back to work....which is going wonderfully as well!

New Orleans– As required by the Louisiana Supreme Court, the New Orleans Police Department is issuing a public advisory regarding an “Impaired Motorist Saturation Patrol.” This patrol is a tactic used to significantly impact an area that is known for a high concentration of alcoholic impaired drivers, based on recent fatal crashes and serious injury crashes. The Special Operation Division Traffic Section will conduct all testing from the SOD Traffic Mobile Command Post that will be positioned at a predetermined location.

The New Orleans Police Department’s SOD Traffic Section will conduct the Saturation Patrol on Wednesday, November 10, 2010, in the Lakeview/Lakefront area, beginning at approximately 9:00 P.M., and concluding approximately 5:00 A.M., and on Friday, November 12, 2010, in the Warehouse District area, beginning at approximately 9:00 P.M., and concluding approximately 5:00 A.M. Motorists will experience minimal delays and should have proper documentation, i.e., proof of insurance, and a valid driver’s license if requested.

Superintendent of Police Ronal Serpas said, “I would like to remind all drivers to always drink responsibly and use a designated driver if you are going to consume alcohol.”

Yeah..I caved & am so into this show now. Sigh. Figures it would happen. As a Buffy & Angel fan, I can't help what I like/love!

So, my blurb hasn't happened yet. Apparently I have a membership in "Slackers Anonymous" and am just now writing it up. I think my inner doubt of crap-a-tude has prevented me from writing something, even if it's only a paragraph or two(which it is).

This week has gone rather slowly. Kinda. Today it is definitely dragging. It's now only 1pm and I am already eager to be at home!

Tonight I am trying yoga. Say a prayer.

Wow is it me or is there a surplus of spam bots in LJ groups lately?

So I am going to start writing a short blurb on cheap fashion for Slow South Style. I really need to figure out what direction I am going with this, because I am kinda rusty on the writing scale. Needless to say, I am constantly picking up good deals and making good deals with stores and eBay, so I will ALWAYS have something to write about. I think a paragraph of my life once a week is something I really should keep up with! Plus, my writing will gradually improve as I write more blurbs.

Not to mention ANY excuse to go shopping is a good one.

Life has been wonderful. I have no complaints. Even my GPA is finally going in the upward direction, which motivates me to do even better this semester. *fingers crossed*

Alright, I am going to start on my first "blurb." Wish me luck!
